We are all looking forward to the crisp days and glorious colours this new season brings. Our upcoming visit to High Beeches in Sussex will be the perfect opportunity to experience autumn at its finest. There is still time to book! In the meantime, we can look back to a wonderful summer of garden visits.
This newsletter follows on the heels of the Special Edition Newsletter and, as promised, we have tweaked the format of the newsletter itself with a full contents using page links to help you navigate. Page numbers are included for those who like to print and read.
Sandra Pullen introduces the Winter Talks and explains our new approach as hybrid events. We set out details of the AGM announcing welcoming tea and coffee and outside caterers to free up the trustee team.
We are starting to address how we communicate the work that we are doing. Alex White’s Gateway Report gives an account of the groups she is working with and feedback from the volunteers in her team.
The Small Grants Scheme update explains how we assess applications and showcases the exciting projects we have been able to support.
As ever, we cannot cover everything that has been happening in these pages. You will get a glimpse of the work of the Research Group and, of course, the visits, lectures and AGM cannot happen without the continuing support of the events volunteers, membership secretary and treasurer. Our grateful thanks goes to all the trustees and volunteers for their work behind the scenes.
